*I redrew edges and details of Smilodon clearer so as to enhance the feeling of distance between the sabercat in front and the bear.

Welcome to the Prehistoric Safari series. Here you can witness for yourself, live actions of some of long gone extinct mammals, especially of those super heavy weights.
During the tour, you cannot by any means open the door of our time ride machine, for these mega beasts could kill you with the blink of an eye!

Please see the larger image.
From left to right:
Arctotherium sp.
Stegomastodon sp.
Middle sized ground sloth
Smilodon populator
Macrauchenia sp.

(selective well known mega fauna from the lujanian period in Argentina)

The largest of Arctotherium(Arctotherium augustidens) and Smilodon populator were most probably not contemporaries but I present the bear rather similar in size to A.augustidens in this rendering. Stegomastodon's top of the head is cropped because of my unfortunate small scanner!

Nothing short of hyper-realistic :D Awesome work as always! I agree with poster above who said its as good as Anton's work or better. Actually, I like yours better for being less square XD

I'm glad if you come to like this rendering, such feedbacks from an artist genuinely gifted really pays off painstaking works=)
haha, It may be that top class pros often have no choice but to undertake numbers of square reconstructions in collaboration with scientists.

Wonderful! thanks for provide that kind of scenes. I guess that the scene is more likely setting in modern Argentina, since that Macrauchenia and Arctotherium are unknown in the north part of South America. And your piece reminds me that I say to you that I'll make a mastodon confrontation, but my little research about the South american prosbocideans make me very confusing about the taxonomy of them (probably someone could say to you that your mastodon is Notiomastodon or Haplomastodon... oh well... I'll wait more of your new series of drawings :)
