I put this up in place of new year's greetings to you all(2009 is year of the cattle in the chinese zodiac).
Happy new year! The aurochs(Bos primigenius) was a very large type of cattle(1000kg) that was prevalent in Europe until its extinction in 1627. Aurochs had lyre-shaped horns with tips of them set at a forward angle, a pale stripe down the spine. Males were black with a pale eel stripe or 'finching' down the spine, while females and calves were reddish. |

To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure.
